I'm trying to find a old series or movie I remember seeing in the 90s. There was a girl who gave birth to a baby boy but it seemed that the characters didn't understand what was going on because it wasn't normal. I remember they scoured a planet's surface to generate a explosion to stop a big space fight. We see a escape pod launched from that planet going to the nearby planet and as the camera turns around you realize the scoured world is the moon and the planet they are headed toward is earth. Sorry if the intel is spotty but I saw this back around 93-95. Edit: I remembered some more.
The plot was something about a big ongoing war between two races one that was all female (Human) and a seemingly machine race(I'm call them Cans to save time). The story was showing a small group of women that one was caught by the Cans and "infected" with an experiment. They evacuate to a remote base and the "parasite" grows rapidly in the woman until they remove it and it was a baby. The people didn't seem to understand what he was and it seemed the war came to the area they were in.
