Hayate: Wow! I met someone with the same smell as me... the smell of someone who is doomed to poverty!
Yokoshima: Interesting! So you're working to pay off a huge debt from your parents! I'm working hard too, but at least I don't have a debt hanging over my head... How much do you make? I used to earn 250yen an hour, but got a raise to 255 yen per hour, which really helps pay my rent and keeps me from starving! How about you?
Hayate: well, what I earn goes towards paying off my 150 million yen debt, but I get almost 4million yen (over 100,000 ringgit) a year so I'll pay it off in 40 years or so. And I don't have to worry about expenses, since room, board, clothes, school fees, and basically every expense is taken care of for me.
Yokoshima: glurk. We are no longer friends.

Actually, in the future of GSM, Yokoshima becomes partner in a crazily lucrative GS business with Mikami, so he can earn a hundred million of yen in 1 mission, IIRC...

And currently, Hayate's employer has lost her inheritance, so his salary... actually, come to think of it, he still gets all expenses taken care of, and Nagi doesn't need money for his salary, since it's just contra-ed from his debt? ... hmm.
