For categories like child/ren how are we supposed to know if the story has the MC as a child or has children. I've been looking for manga where the MC has Children but its hard to find when I see the manga where the MC is a child also. There are many cases like this for categories that have /

Wouldn't searching with "childcare" and/or one of the parent related tags solve the issue?

Not all of them are about "childcare" though

This solution obviously isn't ideal in terms of narrowing stuff down, but you could use the 'Parents' and/or 'Adult Protagonist' tags in combination with 'Child/ren'. There're also the tags 'Father and Daughter', 'Mother and Son', etc.
