Spiderman has always been a favourite of mine since I was a kid.
Iron Man is also another favourite.
Recently, Superman has been falling into my good books. Maybe it's because I watch too much Smallville...

Iron Fist, Daredevil, Spiderman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Batman, Invicible, Captian America (Both Bucky and Steve), Starlord, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle (Both Ted and Jaime), Hercules (Marvel Version), Green Scar Hulk, Amadeus Cho, and of course, Deadpool.

Captain America. (Batman and Deadpool close seconds).
I almost forgot Rorschach, which true_grave_unit pointed out. Rorschach is in a different league of awesomeness, and is probably one of my favorite comic characters (not so much a superhero.) Though he does prove that being extreme right can be awesome.

Batman. After I saw the new movies I have a theory about him. Gotham is such an f***ed up city that it drives everyone crazy, including Batman. All the villains are mad, and Batman matches them in this, albeit his madness makes him almost radically righteous... why else would he run around dressed up as a bat?
Anyway, the fact that everyone is crazy makes Batman awesome.
But Spider Jerusalem from Transmetropolitan is also cool. I would also add John Constantine.
