Do you own them? Which ones? How much did they cost? Was it expensive for you? Can you afford to regularly buy them?

I don't own any, because I'm poor like a bum. 😐 Though seeing comparison pics between the TV version and the DVD version always makes me want to buy the DVD version...

Black Lagoon.

Code Geass: R2.

Oh hey, I have the dvd copy of Black Lagoon.

🙂

If I had more money, I might buy dvd's, but for the time being, not an option.

Oh, wait, I do own the complete set for Cowboy Bebop.

Although if we are talking about all time, I have owned Trigun, Love Hina, Cowboy Bebop(the series and movie), and some others.

Do you own them? Yes.

Which ones? Tokyo Majin Gakuen, Pani Poni Dash, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Gundam Seed (a few), Gundam Seed Destiny, Ghost Stories, and then I have two Inuyasha movies, a DBZ movie, both Bleach movies, and an old Yu-gi-oh! movie (bite me). >.>

*All complete sets except Gundam Seed and Ghost Stories.

How much did they cost? Each set cost me $22 (including tax). Each has 3-6 episodes, depending on length, but they cost the same amount regardless. >.<

Was it expensive for you? I guess. But I really wanted them so not so much, wouldn't waste that much money unless it was worth it. O_O

Can you afford to buy them regularly? If by regularly you mean once a week, then yes I can. That's what I try to do anyway. XD

Because they do tend to be so expensive, I general wait for the boxed set to become available before I buy. It's cheaper than buying each disc as it is individually released, and it takes up less space on the shelves.

I think FUNimation has realized that lots of people prefer this, so they've started releasing shows in 2-3 disc sets at a time as opposed to individual disc releases. I much prefer this method.

It means instead of paying $25 for 3-4 episodes (5 if I'm lucky) and over $100 for a 4-6-disc set, I'm now paying $25 for 12-13 episodes, and $50 for a full 26-episode set (or $35-60 for a boxed set, depending on the show and length, etc.) I've started buying more sets because of this, but I don't buy unless I really like it. (With the exception of Nightwalker - it was my first anime buy, and I didn't know anything about it.)

At present, I own:
Ouran High School Host Club (4-disc set)
Fruits Basket (4-disc set)
Midori Days (4-disc set, I think)
Mai-Hime (7-disc set)
Negima (6-disc set)
Fushigi Yuugi (2 6-disc sets + 2-3 more, I think) - I eBay'd these.
Ceres (2-disc set, double-sided DVDs)
Nightwalker (2 discs)

and 4 Studio Ghibli movies, if we're counting those.

And arawn owns all of Cowboy Bebop (6 discs + movie DVD).

Don't own a single anime DVD at all.

I'd like to, but they're blooming expensive! And I know once I get started I wont be able to stop 🤣

I'd rather blow my money on the mangas instead.
I just stream anime online. I don't watch much anyway.

I used to buy dvd's regularly, then I quit my job and decided to go to school. Now I'm nearly flat broke.

I own a few, of various prices...

I don't totally remember what I have in the US, but over here I have:

-Kino's Journey
-Evangelion
-All of Shinkai's films
-Mushishi

I ordered them all online... the prices varied, but I think it was about 30 for each of the box sets (Mushishi was a bit more).
