I have resently begun to check the [Series Stats] for new manga, but only finds the ones I alredy reading, so I wonderd if it would be posible to add the
List Stats you have on eatch manga there. The 'Reading, Wish, Unfinished lists'.
It would say farly acurate if a manga is popular or not.

The Wish list would also be a kinde of request list for scanlators, if a manga isnt scanlated.

and then a question: iIs the Genre info removed or is it just I who cant find it?

Genre Info is on the right column of the site under releases etc.

About wish lists: I don't think all people who use wish list use it for same reason, so i'm not sure what sort of indicator it could be.

I'm not sure what you mean with the list stats but maybe adding, sometime in the future, "Newly scanlated" list for manga that were just started scanlated is not a bad idea? ..... but i highly suspect that such list will be flooded by yaoi titles since they are fairly short

If your have a manga that has no releases but is om peoples wish lists the Scanlators 'may' pick up and scanlate the manga.

If the filter is integrated in the "Newly scanlated" list, then the yaoi is of no problem.

I'm still waiting for the lists to grow and for more people to start using them before I use them in any sort of statistics.

The filter isue is almost a Catch-22. There would be more filter funktions if more people use them. more people would use them if there was more filter funktions.

I have to say, the reading list with the little notation beside telling you what chapter is scanslated versus where you are is really convenient - it's easy to miss a release announcement on a busy day. Don't know why more people aren't using it.

And yes, if enough people used it, it'd be nice to see how many others have a Karin addition (speaking of one of mine) or a Futari Ecchi habit (which I help scanslate).

You can see how many people have a series on their list already... i believe it's below the series rating on the left of each series info page.

Yes there is, and thats god, but if you have a list of every manga, (all manga whith the info),that shows how many is reading and wishing, it is even more so.

And I like all the work and efort that has made this site.

just be patient 🙂 i'm waiting for the list stats to get up to a certain threshold before I do any sort of stats.

I agree that the little notations for updated chapters are very nice. I use the My Lists feature religiously!

Sorry if I'm not fully understanding the suggestion here, but perhaps adding these notations to the Wish List could work as something similar to what prowider is suggesting? It may be easier to do than adding a List Stats page....and get more people to use the My List feature -_^

I for one, have a series on my Wish List (unlicensed) which I thought had been dropped a long time ago, only to find a group had picked it up again!

Hummm....ok. Let's say you've only read up to chapter 9 of "Bleach" and a new chapter just came out. When you look at your Reading List, there will be a little notation in red next to the manga name that says (c.10). What I meant was adding this notation feature to the Wish List too. Edit: and swapping out the Date Changed column as a Your Status column just like the Reading List.

Now that I reread prowider's post though, I think I'm coming to better understand what's he/she is going for...which is trying to find a way to further advertise our Wish List to scanslators. Correct me if I'm wrong prowider. ^_^

Well, wouldn't status not make any sense because its on your wish list and you haven't started reading it yet? I would think date changed would be more logical because you can see how long it has been on your wish list.

Interesting... I never considered helping tip off scanlators with the wish lists...

Either way, I will eventually have some stats up! Just not now 🙂 I want to get a certain amount of people using the system before I do any sort of stats.

Just curious, but how close is the "goal" I guess you need for number of people that sign up to the site and rate stuff (giving more stats)? I guess there might be a few thousand users, if the numbering system is accurate?
