OK, so this is not a manga story
...There is this Mr. , and many people believed he's the guardian or gatekeeper of the mountain.
It's like a religion, believe, or occult, or whatever it is..
Police have warned people from surrounding area of the mountain to evacuate because it will erupt anytime soon.
He didn't want to move on, cause his life and death was with the mountain.
And people living beside his house also believed in him, that the volcano wouldn't harm him.
Then when the wind blows,
heavy rain indeed at that time, the sky was very dark and there was lightning..
And the volcano awakened,
and those people were swept away...
When police found this Mr. body, he was in kneeling position until his death..

i thought of this to and i have found no anwser...we can't really know for certian until you have expericed a life of death situation but if i had to say i would say that i would fight till the end but when it was certian would i give in

Personally I am ready for death, but will do everything in my power to survive life and death situations.
This can be called "the Way of the Warrior", but right now I am not fully in that mentality. I have no idea of how long it will take before I will be. It's something you get from experience I think.

hmm..I've faced death many many times..
If I had time to think about it I would just say "oh well" and just die
but strangely, most of the time when humans face death they try to save themselves subconsciously...it's so strange (talking from experience)
I don't really care much whether I live or die
I'll choose whatever is the easiest option. ex. to escape a dangerous flood like the '1931 china floods' you had to climb a mountain to survive, I wouldn't climb unless someone dragged my butt up there...or I was rescuing someone I care for. yup..

when you're not facing death you can go philosophical and say that you accept death and all (like me)
but i tell you when you face death you're body would be ravaged by chilling real fear and you stop thinking about unnecessary things and you'll be driven by instinct ..
(i faced death at least 2 times ... oh well thats what i think)
