I'm pretty sure some here play the Halo 1 trial multi player thing. Of course you'll see some mod now and then. Whether if it's rocket=bullet or whatever. So, I was wondering, are these mod legal?

Is this mod supposed to be used with the trial version like the topic title seems to suggest? Because I guess I could see how Microsoft wouldn't want people getting too much entertainment out of a purely trial version; after all, they want people to buy the full version.

I haven't played that trial version in over 2 years but before when I used to play it the mods weren't illegal.. Even mods for the full game weren't illegal. They can't really catch you with it on anyways.

The problem with battlebase kind of mod is that all players have to install it. Otherwise, the mod works really crappy......

Well if you created that particular game and you have the mod inside the folder then its ok for you. Just for other people it is very weird.. I'd play with friends so it would be easier for everyone to have the same mod on..

I think that modding on this game on the computer isn't frowned upon as much as it is on the console. So I don't think that you should have any problems with the legal aspect, but if your going to use the mods to play against other people that don't have them you're just being a jerk.

Sry if that comes out the wrong way I've just had bad experiences with modders in Halo 2 so I really don't like it when people mod in any multiplayer games.

Edit: I changed it happy, and I was just using the word that I use to describe modders in game.
