I am starting to think that Doflamingo is something much more then we have been made to believe by Oda, he seemed to be ruthless and cruel for no apparent reason, but in this chapter we can see that he may actually care about his close subordinates, his dialogue made me feel so even if he told her to suicide because of the way he said it and the way he acted afterwards that made me think so and said his farewells to Vergo in somewhat of a kind way. For his goals it seems like he will do anything despite having to sacrifice his close friends/allies which they are ready to sacrifice themselves at his command. But his goal was actually something his former subordinate Bellamy would laugh at, being a pirate king.

I think he was manipulating them till death. Still I wonder about his past as Vergo said that Law cant defeat him as he dont know his past.
Also, I wonder about his devil power. I thought he could just control someone, but in this chapter he was....O_o
Kudos to Kiks for posting the right prediction~
Quote from Kiks
it's not Smoker's heart he's got tho, Law probably gave him Monet's heart which he received... and that's how the island won't blow up....I guess

Well the fact that he actually told Monet to do something she was already doing tells me that she was absolutely loyal to him and yet he told her that he was sorry and her last words in the last chapter "young master" really is suspicious. If Doflamingo was just manipulating them i don't think he would apologize to both Vergo and Monet seeing as he has been a total ass to all other subordinates we have seen such as Bellamy and that slave auction house manager killing and abandoning them. I am quite sure there is something more to Doflamingos and his relationship to Monet and Vergo.

It's not to hard to imagine their relationships. Some similar examples include Shishio and Zabuza to name two.

Chances are his relationship is household master and his servants. That's the vibe I'm getting at least, which would explain his outlook and attitude. The thing about Bellamy was that he didn't really fit in with the group for Donflammingo in general, for one in terms of power, and second he didn't mesh with the servant detail. He was probably just riding along just ensure his place on the seas.
As for Donflammingo's powers, I think his Devil Fruit ability has to do with strings, almost like puppet strings. Which probably explains the running we saw in the last panel, chances are he's connecting to something or someone which allows him to do what he can.
I'm interested to see what happens when he arrives though, chances are its not gonna be like when Kuma showed up last time. Luffy has made it clear that Donflammingo was a target of his for a while now too. It'll be a good build up to his fight with Big Momma.
