Kakashi looks screwed atm against the 2 pein bodies at once. I wonder if this is when Danzou and root ANBU are going to make their big move (presumably a coup d'etat or something), considering how ****ed Konoha is right now. As for the status of the invasion, my bet is that it's those two elders are one of the next ones to approach the front line, to somewhat redeem themselves after Tsunade told them off. Too bad there's still no sight of Gai and his squad, I was looking forward to see them in action again. Though seeing the other ex-genin is somewhat reassuring.
