This week's poll was suggested by Miss Gradenko. How old is your smartphone, assuming you use one? My current one is almost 1 year old. I had my previous one for about 5 years (replaced mainly because the battery could barely last half a day)
You can submit poll ideas here: https://www.mangaupdates.com/topic/kilkdnn/site-manga-poll-suggestions
Question: How many series are you currently regularly reading?
Choices:
- None - votes: 98 (4.5%)
- 1-5 - votes: 419 (19.4%)
- 6-10 - votes: 264 (12.2%)
- 11-20 - votes: 283 (13.1%)
- 21-50 - votes: 399 (18.5%)
- 51-100 - votes: 238 (11%)
- 100+ - votes: 460 (21.3%)
There were 2161 total votes. The poll ended: May 23, 2025
You guys read a lot...

6 months, but I kept the previous phone for... I think at least 4 years (and still have it)? New phone, with new plan, total cost less than just the plan with with the paid-off old phone, so it was a no-brainer to upgrade.
I'm a jack of all trades but master of none. Too many jars and not enough hands.

8 years. Huawei P10 Lite (2017). Still waiting for something new with the same dimensions, without protruding cameras.

A bit over a year ago got tired of iPhone again and switched to Samsung... (Yes i bounce from iOS to Android and back all the time, though maybe this time around in hopefully will not fall into Apple trap again, but who knows)

5 years and I hope I can keep it for a few more years at least.
I wish I could not have one, but I have some apps that are too useful to give up like the public transport app, google maps, supermarket apps and banking apps.

I generally don't switch phones until I break/brick them, and it's been 3 years since I last did that. So 3 years.

Current is an A04. Which I upgraded from an A02 as soon as it made sense because I accidentally bought an A02 that still was USB-B 2.4, instead of an A02s.

7 and half years. It's still in perfect condition, thanks to the phone cover, though its battery and internal memory are barely enough for my needs.
Because I like them small, sorta like an iphone mini, I've been holding off buying a new one. For years they've been making them bigger, so I'm waiting until the phone breaks or something new similar appears.

My phones aren't nice enough to last too many years since they're on the cheaper side, and I had a horrible experience in the middle of the pandemic when my phone broke and it took weeks to get it fixed (and the people "fixing" it fucked it up so much I had to get a new one anyway).
I'm way too dependent on my phone, and not having one was pure misery. Not only was it just boring, but I felt so anxious not having the ability to look up things when I wanted/needed, contact people, or use the GPS if I got lost. It made me feel so isolated and vulnerable, so when my last one started having problems a year and a half ago I replaced it before it could die on me. No way I'm going through that again.

My current one is 5 years old. I kind of want to get a new one, but also really dislike how a lot of modern phones don't have a replaceable battery. That's why I've been kind of pushing off on buying a new one since the one I have still works.

4.5. I'll keep using it till it falls apart.
I also read EU/US comics and am a librarian.
