i like to read manga and i intend to catch up if im starting late,
but if i can't finish it that day, i tell myself i will get back to it later, but usually i never do

i just wanted to know what your strategies where for staying persistent with a manga that you want to
catch up with

usually i forget about it, or i dont feel like going back to it for
some reason...whether you are catching up with one or starting from the beginning while its on like the 100 chapter

for example im reading berserk now, im on volume 2, and i really want to catch up but im just not sure if i will stop trying one day out of the blue.

Hm. I don't think you should force yourself. If you enjoy reading a certain manga, you won't be able to put it down shrug

I just read manga when I'm bored. If it's really interesting, then you'll want to read it all at once, but if you haven't found any that you like like that then just read it when you have nothing else to do. And it doesn't seem worthwhile to keep up with a manga that you don't really care about. manga is for enjoyment. it shouldn't be work, and you shouldn't have to be persistent.

maybe because i read manga since i was little so i read/follow mangas in an enjoyable pace... i'll not rush into reading every manga or every chapter i could get my hand into.. i'm not bored at rereading manga and still get the same feeling the story gives when i first read it...
sometimes if i come to dislike a series or i judge a series to not good, i just easily dropped it... sometimes when i want to start reading it again i just start at first chapter, again in an enjoyable pace..
what i'm trying to say is i don't have any strategy to do what u ask....

If it's ongoing, I wait for the whole thing to finish and then read all of it in one go. I don't like waiting for new chapters to come out since I read too many series all at the same time. If the manga releases a new chapter every week tho, then those are the ongoing ones I could prolly keep up with. I don't check the Releases page that often, tho. );

I'll look up if there's any updates when I feel like reading it. No planning involved whatsoever.

If I can't stick with a manga then that means it isn't for me so I drop it. 😐

I won't force myself to read something that I don't feel like reading.
I just read what I want to at the time.

The best way to stick to a manga is to find one you can't put down 😉
