Our member 8-3 is wondering about the last time you read manga, manhua, or manhwa in physical form. Probably been more than a decade for me...

I'm surprised that more people were raised Catholic than agnostic/atheist combined

With great shame I must pick 'within the last year'. I re-read all my physical copies of Fruits Basket over the summer. But that was more than a month ago.
Physical is my preferred way to read. But I can't be throwing £10+ on every volume of manga that takes me less than half a day to get through. I don't have storage space either. My dream is to have a big house and turn all the spare rooms into my library. There I'd pass the hours, blissfully daydreaming... Sigh...
I didn't think there were many newer manhwa in physical form but there are surprisingly more than I expected. Seems like Yen Press has also started a manhwa imprint in English. I don't think long strip looks nearly as nice on a page as manga, though.
...Hop!

Yeah would be this year but I bought it on Kindle instead because getting physical was too much hassle... So within a decade... I think last time was like in 2015

I'm not fully sure but definitely within the last decade mmm...
But I definitely haven't buy any physical manga in more than 10 years mmm...
I will change this world mmm...
So the world can change me mmm...

As of writing this, I've actually just finished a manga volume within the last hour or two. Got over a dozen still sitting on my shelf, waiting.

~10 years ago: Shoulder-a-coffin Kuro Volume 3.
But only because there were no digital version that time.

It must've been more than a decade ago for me, when I borrowed a friend's copy of Gyo. That introduced me to Junji Ito.

Within the last year a hardback of Vinland Saga. I prefer physical, but I don't really have the space for physical copies anymore so I only buy a few mostly of my favorite series that haven't ended yet. Plus have you ever tried moving with boxes and boxes of books and manga? Hint: It gets really heavy. Anything outside those few hard copies I buy digital, but even that's become difficult since Amazon turned Comixology into garbage. As a result both my manga and comics purchases are down this year and I find myself re-reading old stuff I have. 😔

Last weekend. Got several series still to read. I don't claim to be a collector but I still buy physical manga.

I don't read physical manga, anywhere near often enough.
I've never had much money ...and lately, I've pretty much ceased having any interest in buying any translated manga. For all the faults of scanlations... Shit scanlations are typically fairly easy to spot. As long as you avoid them...
Sure, they may not always have high skill (not that commercial translators tend to be that good, mind you ...other than in making things into good/natural English, which is very good at disguising bad translations, as well as what could have been originally meant), but it's far better than a more skilled translation, that intentionally distorts things.
Thus, I'd pretty much only buy manga, in its original Japanese (also, I'm getting a bit better, at reading stuff raw, anyway)
...which makes it all the more expensive and difficult, to get.
Also, it's very easy and convenient, to read stuff on a smartphone/e-reader, and given my many problems, that does tend to make me read it more, that way. (now if I had a hammer-space/item-box or the like, that'd be a different story, but as we don't have magic, in the real world...)
Sadly.
Reading physical copies, is the best, after all.

Oh man, I missed my own poll 😢
Well anyway, I have a few hard copy manga left and I just picked up and read one of them a couple weeks ago. A few years ago I was collecting and bought new manga every month. Since then, I've sold lots and now mostly read digital 😐 Only my most favourite series remain.
