How much money do you spend on anime/manga?

None as far as anime goes. I get all of my anime through fansubs and the internet.
I would not even consider buying anime even if I had the money to spare, because english dubs tend to suck. Most of the time it just seems like the actors don't want to be there and aren't into the story. You can tell when somebody is faking it and it ruins the immersion in the anime for me.
Subbed anime is not only cheaper, but it's more enjoyable for me.
I will rarely buy manga (not anime) for the convenience of having it, I figure it's something to fall back on if the power goes out and I'm bored.

I'm buying Fruits Basket, Ouran, Tsubasa and Cardcaptor Sakura. I already own all the Millennium Snow. (All two volumes. -_-" gah.)
I'm almost done finding CCS (I would have them all if they were easier to find). (So far I've spent about 70$ on CCS.)
As for Fruits Basket, I only have a few so far. For some reason, it is near impossible to find #3. (No idea why.) So I skipped it.
But now, whenever I can't find #3 of Fruits Basket, I go to buy Tsubasa instead. Which instead of the normal cost of 10.00$ is 15.00$. Joy.
So I've spent over 150$ on manga so far. (And it was only in the last year that I started to read manga.)
I don't want to consider how much anime costs. 😢
But it is worth it, to me.
Edit: I forgot to talk about other merchandise. 😀
I have 3 Furuba posters, an Ouran poster, and a Cardcaptor Sakura poster.
Plus I have a Yuki (from Fruits Basket) t-shirt and a Kurofai t-shirt (which was custom made).
Then there was also the membership cost for AnimeNorth (SO MUCH FUN).
🙂 Happiness is costly.
Edit:
O_O I just vaguely calculated it and my total came to over 250$.
Wahhhh~
Dollers! I work in pounds people! £££££
I would say, in the past, what...year I've been buying manga, I've spent just over £100 probably. Lots of like, 3 for 2 deals I've found saved me quite a bit XD
It's due to go up once my favourite manga's start getting licensed, but I don't care. Thats why I have my part time job, to buy me things that make me happy ^___^
As for the poll...pff...I have no idea where abouts I am on that $$$ chart 😮 I'm guessing maybe the fourth option... I am collecting my favourite series after all

Around $2500, at the least, on manga volumes. Excluding artbooks.
But only maybe $50 on anime. I refuse to buy lousy dubs.
And some assorted money on plushies and such.
My manga budget just went up from $40 a month to $80. Hooray for part-time jobs!
But it's all going to be *blown *by collecting volumes of Petshop of Horrors, one by one. They run pretty expensive.

I don't buy anime. But I do buy alot of manga. When I first starting buying manga like 6 years ago I was spending around $50 a month but I used to get them on alot of them on sale but I've had months back then that I would spend over $100.00. But then I had a couple of years that I maybe only bought 5 comics in 2 years. But in the last six months I bought like 50 comics but I do things like go to half price book stores and I also order online and wait for sales/coupons. So I would say I've only spent around $150 in the last six month. I just bought all 8 of marmalade boy (old I know but still very good) manga for $7.00 ^_^ I just counted my comics and I have 197. Over the years I've most likely spent around $1500 maybe less but alot were given as gifts and I find deals.

I don't spend any money. Even before I knew about scanlations and fansubs, all I did was watch anime when it came on TV and go to bookstores and read the manga there.
I would buy anime and manga to support, but the companies here in America always fuck things up like censor things that don't need to be censored, change the dialogue for no reason, alter footage so that it seems like a minor character is actually a main character, etc. I understand that some things need to be changed or else they'll catch a lot of flak for it (Like changing "666 Satan" to "O-Parts Hunter" to obvious reasons), but the other needless things they do are ridiculous and I refuse to pay any amount of money for a product that's been tampered with.

I CAN'T STAND people who sit around in bookstores reading manga. If you want to read the published title, *buy *it, and stop wasting space in front of the shelves >:-(
Ahem. //End rant.

I always went to the reading spaces in bookstores with the La-Z-Boy recliners and read them there.
Besides, I was real poor back then, so the most I could do was read them.

I used to do that too, especially when I was stuck at home with no AC. I'd just go to the bookstore with its amazing central air and read books in their comfy chairs. Better than reading at home. 😐

I have only a few anime DVDs, but I do have a load of manga/manhwa.
I'm up to at least 500 volumes, but I got most of mine used. New volumes cost about 3.5$US, though, so it's easy to collect. Used are about 1$ or less per volume.

I read a 2 page rant on them they call them manga hobos and it seems that the staff at Barnes & Noble is cracking down on them. But....... I have bought at least 30 volumes of manga and each of those were ten bucks.. But, then again I haven't bought manga in around 2 years. I actually spend most of my money on comics more than manga.
