I played those games for the story. What's the point of playing them again just cause it's got better graphics?

That kinda reminds of a saying I once heard: "Playing a game for the story is like reading a book for the text." 🤣

Hopefully they'll add some extra stuff to it, but if they don't then it might hurt in terms of sales. Though seeing how huge the MGS series is I doubt the sales would be lower than projected.

I'm not much for "botox" in the game industry. Each game has its own place in history, no need for lifting. Now, an epilogue kind of game for MGS4 (as a mini game/dlc) or an OVA could be fun, just to show "the last days"

Yes as long as they keep the original storyline.

Yes in the sense that if you want to play Metal Gear Solid 4 but have no background on the other games, it may be a nice choice to have around just to get to know the plot in depth a bit more.

Of course, there's always the option of using Wikipedia or something to learn the plot, but I think interactive learning through video-games is a better option 😉 (At least one I'd prefer, anyway). But to save time, wikipedia it.

how many of you "almost" cried when emma died in mgs2?
i replayed the game the other day...and i was just as sad as the last time i played it[10years ago]

for me i think its bcoz its the only actually interesting and intense part of the game...rescuing her,taking care of her,needing her and then she gets stabbed by the silliest and most annoying boss of all mg bosses
your allready bored with raidens annoying story,no snakes, and the constant backtracking does not make it more fun
her part was the highlight of the whole game

I don't know how to reply to that...I don't know about a remake but a visual update maybe isn't a bad idea? IDK.
