yeah, i was wondering about that myself - i guess there's no harm done if they both mention each other, although it seems less surprising that such a long running manga like HnI would get mentioned in KnIM than the other way around. Anyway, it seems like it was all done in good fun since even though Itagaki said "that manga totally sucks" Ippo chipped in and said he actually likes it in a way XD

they both run in the same magazine and the mangaka are probably friends that were messing with each other plus if you read bakuman they mention many other mangas
