Like I was browsing and then I'm like... lol what??

I am an anime-savvy person. I can confidently tell you that these stats should be similar in number. And yet, here we are. *clasps hands together*

This is a site for manga, so obviously there will be more posts about manga.

In addition there was a sister site called baka-updates for many years that had anime releases. So there was really no reason to ever discuss anime on this site for many years.

In fact, based off of the dates it looks like this board was only established when baka-updates shut down. Posts in this board only date back to 2016, and I'm pretty sure that's when baka-updates closed up shop.

Keep in mind mangaupdates goes back a long time.

That's interesting. I never knew there was a sister site. I made an older account on here like ten years ago and always associated this site as baka-updates.

The AnimeTV/Movies subforum is only a few years old. It was created in mid-2016 as I asked to have all of that year´s anime season previews put in here to keep at least 2016 together. That's why my spring 2016 preview opens this subforum.

The original forum for anime conversations was simply the Chatter Box and Other TV/Movies also originated in 2016. Look for older anime conversations in the Chatter Box. Or in the forum for a specific manga that got an anime.
