Sorry i'm not remember much, from what i've remember it was something like these:-

Story is set in during edo period, Japan but there's demons roaming in the world. Human fight those demons with special katana/weapons and only certain people may wields these weapons. The protagonist, a young boy lived in dojo-like mansion(japanese style obviously), where he do his sword training under a young girl, a onee-chan looks like and the one he has crush on to. the protagonist is often skipping his training and wandering into the forest nearby with some kids? (not sure if he's alone or with other). The protagonist got a older brother, and he's one of guardians (a elite group to fight demons) and iirc initially mc didn't know the fact his brother is one of those elite. Oneechan before has a relationship or love with MC's older brother. His older brother is kind guy and very popular in the village. He's always advice mc to take his training lenient and seriously as he got the power too.

One day, Mc again skipped his training and wandered in the nearby forest, and suddenly the village got attacked as well as MC's. Several villagers died, and mc get saved from his older brother and elite fighter in time but his older brother get hurt in the process, mc was told to awaken and use his power to help but can't as he's not really determined (plus his lack of training) not until his older brother saves his ass again with taking a fatal blow from the demons, which his brother asked mc again to kill him off before he transform to demon or eaten by demons? in desperation mc awaken his power katana and finish off his older brother life, as well those demons unfortunately at the time his crush Oneechan as well his brother's lover arrived with seeing he killed his older brother.

After that tragedy, like couple of days Mc was visited by his late older brother's comrade, one of them criticising and loathe MC like deep down in his heart, he really wanted to kills his older brother out of jealousy of his strong, kind, popular, moreover his crush are loved his older bro too. the next day, Mc went to dojo to take training seriously but unfortunately IIRC that Onee-chan quit being a sensei due to replace a position left by mc's brother...seems like that Onee-chan hate Mc too (not sure).. Mc join the elite group too if i remember and i stop reading at this point. so i really need your help me to finding this manga..
