The wraparound jacket band on the 25th volume of the Tamiki Wakaki's The World God Only Knows manga is announcing on Tuesday that the series will end in the next volume.

The story follows dating sim master Keima Katsuragi, who wants nothing more than to immerse himself in the 2D world, chasing digital girlfriends. But when the so-called "Capturing God" answers a mysterious email from an unknown sender, Keima finds himself chasing down real-life ladies in an attempt to help the peppy demon Elsie de Lute Irma capture "lost souls" escaped from the depths of hell. Now, lest the explosive collar around his neck detonate, Keima must convince various girls to fall in love with him in order to scare out the souls hiding in their hearts.

The series inspired three anime series which streamed on Crunchyroll, and Sentai Filmworks released the first two seasons on home video in North America. The series also inspired several sequel and spin-off OVAs.

Ending? Well, I guess we can only hope for a sequel.

I can't say I'm surprised though. The ending was pretty much foreshadowed when the whole "Find the 6 goddesses" arc started.

It's better to end something than for it to drag on forever, never leaving you satisfied.

That's the one thing I really ask for, is a satisfying ending.

I forgot this existed... I'll keep it here for old time's sake.

Ugh, today's chapter release is the second to last chapter. I was pretty surprised by the developments and a million questions are racing through my head. I hope he addresses everything next week.
