Had any before? Where you went "whoa, this is different". o.o

Blegh, I can't seem to remember any... But apparently it's odd for guys to wear swimming
trunks in China? o.o Like, they mostly wear speedos~ Something like that. D':

Not really.
Only shock for me
is sanitation and I've
had my share of shitty
places.

^ rofl, I guess. I already saw them when I was ~6.

I don't find them weird as they are impractical... although, I guess
the squatting position is the best for "relieving" yourself. 🤣

But it felt weird...and there was no water so anything could've crawled up from the pipe(NSFW) while I was "relieving" myself.

When I went to Arizona and the public restrooms didn't have toilet seat covers. 0.0 (Its mandatory for all places in Cali) It was weeeiiirrrdd.

Oh, and I was hanging out with some Filipino peoples, and I was weirded out by how much close contact even relative strangers have(me). The amount of skinship they have is just like.. 10 times our amount. Maybe Americans are just weird/stand-offish like that?

^ I think Westerners are like that in general.

In most other cultures, people are more touchy-feely with each other~

🤣

For me, snow or coldness in general. I literally cried on my first Halloween Trick or Treat excursion because my hands were so numb. I guess that's not really a culture shock, more of a geographical shock 🤣 .

Heh... well, when I visited my cousins in China and saw their toilets... yup, I have to agree that the squat toilets shocked me as well.

If i pat the shoulder of a person in America, I'll be sued for harassment.

Anyway, for me biggest culture shock: to know some place in the world the ppl eat insects and is disgusted by seafood instead O_O

Hmm.

Maybe because I have traveled a lot, and experienced lots of different cultures, I can't really pick one that stands out.

Oh, I remember this one though. The first time I went to Cyprus or Greece, (I can't remember. Doesn't matter. The point is they're Greek) I was walking by cars and motorbikes with keys in the ignitions. Just left their keys in there. Not a care in the world. Such a relaxed atmosphere. I wish I could say it's like that now, but it's every man for himself 🤣

I was pretty young when I first saw my squat toilet. I just found it very odd XD

The lack of those were a shock to me. O-o Actually, the whole bathroom thing was an issue to me...__

We travel to and from Korea and the US, so the first time I came to the US, besides the initial shock in learning about the difference of ages, family titles, and lack of formalities...the "shoe custom" was hard to get over. XD

Ohh, the food too. Meat seems to play a big role in American food...

I was somewhat the same.

Another big one for me were socks. I couldn't get over wearing them all the time, let alone to bed. They just felt odd.
