To me, summer always represented one thing: Freedom.

The coming of summer always meant one thing when I was growing up, that this prison called school was going to let me have two months of freedom.

Being able to have light outside for more hours.

Being able to walk outside at night and just completely at peace.

Being able to wear less restrictive clothes (t-shirts & shorts) outside because the weather permits it.

"temperamental weather; chance of some sun; tourists; a major increase in screaming kids"

so far this summer just lots of rain and flooding
and a couple days of sun

What's the point of repeating myself? I'm not being helpful that way :<

Heat. Long days in the beach or the pool, playing in the water and lying in the sun. Sitting in my hammock beneath two trees, reading in the shade as the heat surrounds everything. That smell when cold water hits pavement that has heated to 100 degrees during your water fight. And thunderstorms.

Hell.
Scorching hell, to be precise.
I hate summer. There is nothing good about summer whatsoever, other than minimal skin coverage.
But it's so hot I find it hard to act unless I stand under an AC on ice mode.
I miss winter all year long.

My plot would go like this - a very hot (double entendre) warrior-person fights against the devilish sun/summer monster to rescue the beautiful winter queen.
Everything turns out well, naturally, and they spend their days tucked under bear fur covers, while eternal blizzard rages outside. :'D

Yah. That'd be perfect.

Oh, good luck with your project!

Summer was supposed to be a mental pause break,
but I am spending time at my mom's place, as I save
money by eating and living here, as I don't have much cash
for the time being and as I get no student allowance during
summer months and the job market isn't good for a student
now, which just means more nerve-wracking experiences
at home. I feel like I were married, for 22 years.
At least I get to see our dogs and my little brother, but
nothing can outweigh the horror that is a nagging dictator woman.
