Girls have more options for dealing with long hair, I think - barrettes, braids, etc.

Also depends on your hair type. My sister has fine, curly hair that tangles like CRAZY; mine is coarser and straight (mostly) and hardly tangles at all unless I'm out in a high wind.

eek... tangling.... that's why I have short hair. And no, I don't comb my hair everyday, but I use a straightener everyday (except holiday)

A pain? No... just five minutes, come on. And yeah, my hair also pokes in the eye, but.... it's still nicer that way! LOL don't want hair that's freaking above my eyebrows... looks dumb..
