I have read H2 and, while a liked the baseball aspect of it the ending and romance kinda was left un done which has turned me away from Mitsuru Adachi other titles, but this one seems different and better from the reviews ive read. Is it worth it or is it another H2?

Yup, it's worth it for a slice of life manga and sports but the romance is kinda slow...

no it is not, I found cross game to be the one adachi title I can't stand.

Not that I finished the others, but this one had the adachi element a tad bit too early.

by the adachi element I mean the one event that almost certainly happens in every one of his manga

actually, I found the promptness of that one event to be somewhat refreshing since most of his titles tend to use the same character designs and characters keep the same personalities throughout. It's not until midway through that you realize you've just read another Adachi manga that's just like any of his other ones... lol.

So yeah... a reiteration with many identical elements of his other titles with a larger emphasis on slice of life and less on strained friendship/rivalry professionally and romantically.

personally i didnt like how in most of his manga he made the characters perfect in cross game he seemed to have toned that perfectness down

but the dead should keep dead not come back in an indirect form

I'd suggest reading Katsu. It's about Boxing, but the ending and romance aspect were done very well... Even if the romance was a little slow and naive.

It's Adachi, all his works are the same 😛

If you didn't like the other works then you're probably not going to favor this one too much either.

Personally I like Adachi's works even if the romance aspect isn't usually tidied up at the end. His works aren't about the full romantic endings but just on the whole experience in general. Cross Game is an easy enough series to get started but it's just like other Adachi series except it hasn't ended yet (so the ending's still up in the air for cross game...).
