Just me that thought Code Geass was Shounen/Seinen? At least this site states it as that and anidb does for the anime...

On topic, taking type of anime from anidb, grouped by degree of liking:
Card Captor Sakura
Full Moon o Sagashite
Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou

Glass no Kamen (2005)
Kaleido Star
Aishiteru ze Baby
Baby Love

Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru
Fruits Basket
Versailles no Bara

Code Geass offcial manga is serialized in Asuka, which is a shoujo magazine. 🤣

http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=4521 states Seinen as the category.
http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=5230 states shounen and that it is indeed Asuka, a shoujo magazine it was published in. It also states the story is different from the anime to a certain degree. So the argument of what the manga is is a bit beside the point, this was about the anime. 🙂

Google search for ""code geass" anime shounen" returns 275k
for ""code geass" anime shoujo" 187k

Not sure what else to refer to...

Code Geass anime was before the manga, so they don't have any relation with each other whatsoever. The Code Geass anime would be more Shounen (the first season might qualify as Seinen though).

Another similar example would be Darker than Black which is an original Seinen anime, then they made a Shoujo manga out of it.

And good Shoujo anime doesn't exist! 🤣
At least I haven't found one that suits my taste.

At least the Code Geass manga still follows the basic storyline of the anime. The Darker than Black manga is a complete alternate universe.

You're completely right in that.

Yeah...Doc, I agree with you on no good shoujo anime.
Though I LOVED Bokura Ga Ita, that is one good anime, and the only one I can think of.

Code Geass's anime is definitely not shoujo...the manga may be, but not the anime.

Darker Than Black cannot even compare. xD
