So yeah! I'm not into the whole hardcore yaoi thing cause I'm a guy...and seeing two guys having sex isn't..um, appealing? However I do like reading about love between two guys. (that doesn't get too sexual) I liked nabari no ou because there was an unspoken bond between miharu and yoite. I also liked the tragedy that yoite was dying. Mysterious, fragile, yet he could take your life. He was dangerous. I liked how miharu wasn't a crybaby and not overly optimistic like some main characters are. So overall, I like manga with a sort of dark theme, where one of the characters is mysterious and reluctant to love. I'm being real picky, but I need something to distract myself because I'm already up to date in the manga I'm reading. Thanks for helping.

Eh... I can't really say Nabari no Ou is shounen-ai, but w/e I guess it could wither way.

I know a number of shounen-ai like that, but they're all light hearted comedies with reluctant and strong characters if you are interested...

But Yoite is half girl half guy, so it's not really shonen ai...

I loved Nabari no Ou too...
Some stuff I'd recommend is:
Harlem Beat wa Yoake made -> this one is more light-hearted then what u want though...
07-Ghost
Saiyuki Reload
Loveless

Most of these (all except loveless actually) aren't listed as shonen-ai, but they do imply... and the male characters have a really strong bond...
You can also try Amatsuki, but you have to read till the middle to get to the "darker" parts... and not so much shonen-ai.

Ah! subtext, I guess that's what I'm looking for! Thanks!

Catz: Yeah I know! I don't really consider it a shonen-ai either, just something unique. Sure I'll check out some of those comedy ones.

qiqi:

that's what makes it unique! I think it's awesome that yoite is intersexed. And thanks, I'll check those out!

Hmm. My favorite shonen-ai title is SUGIURA Shiho's Koori no Mamono no Monogatari. It's fantasy with light, beautiful artwork, and more plot oriented.
