I have a question about scanslator ethics, so to speak. Around January I volunteered as a raw provider/scanner for a short project at a fledgling shoujo scanslation group. It's a small group that has only released a few chapters (mostly from my project) and those sporadically.

Since August, the group site hasn't been updated and the admin/translator hasn't responded to my e-mails about the project. Meanwhile I've got half the rest of the series scanned from tankobon I imported, and they're very pretty, but I don't read Japanese.

What should I do in this situation? I don't want to have bought/scanned the books for nothing (especially if another group with a scanner picks up the project), but I don't want to ditch my current group unnecessarily either. I've never been in a scanslation group before. Is 2+ months a typical time for turnaround? Should I wait the 6 months to count a group inactive before I do anything? Thanks!

pft, since august? and no response? pack your bags and head for another group. raws and scanlators are always needed. if i had a jap tler, i would grab you. but :/
