Bloody Cross Ends Next Month
The July issue of Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine revealed on Friday that Shiwo Komeyama (Star Ocean: Blue Sphere) will end the Bloody Cross manga series in the magazine's August issue on July 10. The final chapter will include a center color page.
The story centers around Tsukimiya, a girl cursed with both angel and vampire lineage. She and another half angel, Hinata, take part in a struggle for "God's Book of Prophecy," an artifact whose power may dispell their mixed-blood curse. Along the way, they encounter pure-blood angels, a fallen angel, a half-angel human, and other factions.
Komeyama launched the series in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine in 2009 (after an earlier 2007 manga one-shot under her penname Aoi Mizuki). Square Enix published the 11th compiled volume in November 2014.
Yen Press has licensed the series for North America, and the company is publishing the seventh compiled volume this month.
