Any kind of donations, really.
-Charity
-Politics
-Manga (groups and hosting sites)
Do you donate money (or other things)?
What's your opinion on donations, in general?
If you do, what organizations have you donated to?
If not, why not?
Personally, I'm not a big supporter of donations of any kind.
Who knows where they end up?
Sure, I've used services like thehumblebundle where you get something in return, but I didn't really see it as donating. For me, it was entirely for selfish reasons.
The only instance in my life in which I wholeheartedly donated my money was to an animal shelter that doesn't put animals to sleep if nobody picks them up.
As for manga, I know it doesn't count, but I helped some groups with editing.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

Also had something like this, and it came with some freebies/goodies if you‘re lucky and donated a nice sum of money, yeah..
I've donated to charity and politics with either money or canned food. I've also donated for gaming sites although...they're dead (basically, they're private servers).
Donations to charity and politics are a good way to support the whatever they doing. Well except politics, its a bit tougher on donations because you have to view if they're doing for the good or the bad; similar to charity as well. I've donated to children something, i think was an orphanage thing. As for politics, it was more based by likes and votes.
Basically, the best way is to view what they're doing and what the cause is. If its a good thing, then help out. Although, in other people's POV it may seem like a bad thing. I've tried donating money through mail to gaming even though they're address are far, and others would say " scam" but I still get my status of donator or my rewards although the rewards are nothing o-o.
I would love to donate to manga, but I don't have paypal or credit/debit card. And i would rather donate it by mail, cause i'm cheap like that. 🤣

I do donate to the homeless on the street if I've the cash and they look like they really need it, but there are sum out there that have a good healthy body and look like they could be working, I know circumstances might be bad for them but if they r not even trying to do something (at least sell water) why should I help them? I also donate my old clothes to the salvation army but that's as far as my charity goes I think.
As for manga, I've donated to several sites. (I also donate to specialized sites like aarinfantasy). I think they all work really hard and the least we could do is help em out a bit with their costs. Even if its just helping with a couple of scanlations, that goes a long way! Gotta think about the fact that the reason why we get to read so much manga for free is because of all the awsm groups. 😃

Yes, I do!

I'm okay with it. I think it is very nice to help something you want to continue existing (be it NGOs, mangas etc) and if they need donations and they are a serious organization, I don't think you are wasting your money... after all, it is your choice to give your money, so if you think it is right, do it.
If you do, what organizations have you donated to?
I donate money to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). I just love what they do and when you go do the donation page, under the number you can see what they are going to do with your money: "$35: can purchase enough measles vaccine to inoculate 35 people", "$15 A MONTH: can purchase an 11-day supply of ready-to-use food (RUTF) to treat a malnourished child" etc. I find it very nice how they are so clear about it and later they send you a postcard with a beautiful story of how donations helped someone else's life. I also donate clothes to some people in a small city I visit sometimes.
