Hi ! 😛
As the title says i'm looking for a manga (of any sort) where the main character is a girl delinquent that ends up falling in love with her teacher.
I'm just completely sick of the traditional shoujo character going "kyaa" all over the place and blushing any time she sees a male character therefore I would prefer a girl with a tough personnality that doesn't become a moron in front of the guy she loves.

I don't mind about some fighting going on. Quite a dark storyline would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Oresama Teacher, maybe? It's not exactly what you described, but close enough, I think. The delinquent girl - teacher relationship is a bit... unclear.
It's a comedy, but there's a lot of fighting 🙂

Thanks for your recommendations unfortunately I've already read both of these 🙁
If anybody has anything in mind...

Seiten Taisei fits, but I think she's going to end up with a classmate in the end.

Not exactly delinquents, but rebellious and hard to handle:
Sanagi to Ousama
Switch (MOCHIZUKI Karin)

Kodomo no Jikan is really good and fits your request, for the most part. It's lolicon though (but not hentai or anything like that, just ecchi) so if that's a problem then don't read it. Still, the story is very good, and is fairly dark at times.

@akari: thanks for the recommendations, I'll have a look at these!
@a cat library: yeah I'm not very enthusiastic about lolicon but thanks anyway 🙂

Quote from StarlightDreams

Faster than a Kiss

The girl isn't really a delinquent, i admit she's kinda... feisty, and can fight back when necessary, but she is very much a typical shoujo protagonist when it comes to the love interest and she always gets rescued by him. besides...

it turns out the teacher himself was a delinquent in the past, so basically it's not what you're asking for but more like the other way round.

you might like it anyway, though. personally i just don't think you'll like it because there are some significant clichés going on there, which sounds like the opposite of what you're looking for.

@ mogiks: you're quite right actually, I had had a look at this manga a while ago and the main character was pretty much the 100% lame typical shoujo protagonist. If you have any suggestions to make yourself please do 🙂

Crossroad has as beautiful relationship between the student and teacher, though she's not really a yankee or anything, but she isn't all giggly over him. However, she also likes her step-brother, so... :/

BUT STILL. The relationship she has with the teacher is really great and definitely my favorite part of the manga.

And as I skim over it, it appears to take a while for the teacher to appear (somewhere in the 2nd volume)... but he's definitely in it until the end, once he does.

Maybe, just maybe you'd like Kyoukasho ni Nai!.
Romance tag isn't listed but it sure looks like a romance to me (although the main focus is on comedy).
The girl is the daughter of a yakuza boss and kinda behaving like a delinquent.
Not too sure though since it hasn't been fully translated yet ...

@magical: thanks for the contribution but she is not really the type of character I'm looking for (it's not what we can call a strong female lead)
@0sirt: yeah it really looks like the focus is comedy (in a sort of perverted way ^^) it's a bit far from what I'm asking, thanks anyway
