Oh, but that was an awesome volume. Much was revealed, especially the way its about to be headed in the last few chapters (34-36).
Im really liking the way this series is headed. There seems to be more to it then just the main character training and facing of oponents that show up.
Goomoonryong has his own reasons, and a big thing is going on. I wonder how Shi-woo will get involved.
Man, so far iv never been pulled into a series this much a few volumes in. I though it would grow boring, or the very least redundent. But im only liking it more and more.

In my opinion there are three reasons The Breaker is so strangely addictive:
-
It's not pure action, there is a deep story behind the characters, as you indicated.
-
The author understands the Roller-coaster concept. Basically, there needs to be 'slow' periods mixed in liberally with the action in order to make the action meaningful when it occurs. Nabari no Ou did this well.
-
Fights do not last a dozen chapters, and are more realistic in the way they affect the characters when they occur.

This is definitely one of the best in the genre or martial arts, like stated before there a multitude of different things happening but it isn't sloppy like some other mangas where they drag out the same event through 5 chapters while completely leaving out another part of the story that is going on and the way it has been going in the last couple of chapters it is going to get even better
I wanna see whats going to happen with Hyuk so Chun because the way he reacted to Shin-woo was interesting, and also how that little girl Sosul even though she is sick could bring a about a war by using that medallion

Isn't that because she is the princess of one of the big Murim families? Or did I get that wrong?
And I agree with Spawnblade on all three points.
What I like best is the rollercoaster effect, too many series just focus on constant action with very little in the ways of a plot or story coughbleachcough
It's great that even during the action sequences the story isn't forgotten.
