This week's poll was a suggestion from our member butako chan. Would you cosplay as a character from the opposite gender? Perhaps you already have. Or maybe you'll never cosplay at all... (I personally fall in this latter camp). But ya, poll away!

I already do cosplay, but the only time I've crossplayed was when I was Charles Grey from Kuroshitsuji. xD

If I did cosplay, I'd probably only cosplay as the opposite gender... I don't have too many favorite female characters, and the ones that do are either "ordinary people" or crossdress in the manga. xD

I don't think I'd mind cosplaying a male character if I did actually cosplay. I don't have the time or effort to make costumes though. I'd rather put the money going into a costume towards a figurine or something too.

Well I've never cosplayed but if I did I could see myself crossplaying at least once. I like cute outfits so I'd have a lot of good choices to pick from. Besides my legs are nice enough to look good in a skirt so it'd be a shame if I didn't show them off at least once. 🤣

I think an extremely important part - gender of the one answering - is missing from the poll.
Please change it so that the options are differentiated on that basis, too.

if i had means/money to cosplay, i'd definitely do opposite gender. i'm pretty much flat chested so it would be easy haha

My answer was missing - "I wouldn't if I did cosplay." I don't cosplay right now, but I plan to sometime, and I would not cosplay of the opposite gender. It just doesn't appeal to me. The closest I might get to that would be a crossdressing female character.
I'm struck by how few people say they are cosplaying. The poll is young, and that might change.

That'd be my answer too. I don't cosplay, but if I did (it would be funny), I'd likely still stick to my gender.
Kinda feels like the options here are a little too limited.

If someone gave me the costume, I'll wear it proudly ^^, until then, I probably wont spend any money on costumes especially now when I'm a struggling student :/.

Same here—I've thought about cosplaying before, but even then, I can't see myself ever dressing as a male character.

I think it would be interesting to see this too. I feel like girls wouldn't really mind cosplaying as a male, but guys might be more opposed to cosplaying as a female.
Anyway, I would dress as the opposite sex if I did cosplay, but I don't and I don't have any plans to do it in the immediate future. For me, it would be too much effort.
