But seeing as it's a doujinshi, mangaka usually don't really have as much of an obligation to draw them compared to their published manga series. Especially since it's more for fun and makes less money compared to their official works. The reason there's only 2 volumes released per year is probably due to the times Comiket (event where doujinshi is sold) is held which I think is only 2 times a year?
