Game for learning Japanese

Hello, I'm looking for Japanese games that are mostly in kana, some kanji is fine, I would prefer it to have a little slang as possible.
An example would be Pokemon White / Black, you can change it from kana to kanji and has been translated to english, (although I haven't played it enough to check for cutesy anime crap)
Another would be Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi, I couldn't get past the first level because I couldn't figure out how to get the characters to move on either (fan translated) english or japanese, but it was all in Kana and the japanese looked pretty normal.

I think the first four Final Fantasy games were like that(no kanji at all).

almost all famicom games are in hiragana
favorite would be

and im pretty sure there is a fantranslated version and a release in the west[there is atleast a nds version out in west]
and if you are interested in japanese popculture
"slang" is pretty useful to know

You can't learn Japanese just from kana or hira. Kanji is a necessity.
Play some galge or something. You'll learn faster if you listen to what the speaker is saying by learning how to read them.
