Anyone need a translator?

Hi guys. Just joined MU to see if there's anyone who needs a translator.
I've been translating for over two years for various groups, so I know how these things work and I can adapt pretty easily.
I'd mostly like Josei or Seinen projects, although Shoujo is also fine as long as it's something totally unique. I've been translating for a quite a while now, and I've gotten tired of all the flowery backgrounds and the sparkly doe-eyed heroines. I'm also not into overly violent or tragic stuff. I can translate 99% well without furigana, but with the occasional stumble on those darned scribbled author talks.
In terms of speed, I can safely say I can churn out a chapter every 2 weeks more or less (if the title is interesting then definitely less), and that's already accounting for the times I'll be busy. I'd love to be in a group that knows what they're doing, new or old.
I can take a translator's test if required.
-vague_rant, who is currently being not-so-vague. XD

Hi, and welcome here,
You can take a look into this thread (actually were you posted), it is specifically for your purpose. Also you can certainly look over at MangaHelpers here; There you will see a lot of people looking for translators and you even can offer your services.
I'm sure that way you will come across something fitting... :-)

We are in need of a translator for a very specific Seinen project that we are working on. The series is unique in art style and I think it has a really good story so far, it's proven itself to be highly popular in Japan. However, we have had 0 luck with it and right now need a translator to keep the series alive and hopefully help us to build it's popularity.
I will send you a pm with details of the series, a bit about us and links so you can read what's out so far. I really hope that you like it, I should point out that it's not at all an overly violent series which is quite refreshing for a seinen...

I'm still looking for help on Piano no Mori. I'm a very experienced editor, and my scanner is the best one around.
Let me know if this manga interests you.

I'm also a member at Mangascreener, and we're looking to revive a bunch of projects there too. So check us out at www.mangascreener.com, to see if there's anything of interest in the projects section.
