But I perfer swords to guns. In my opinion, you have to have some good skills to wield a sword correctly, with guns, it's point and shoot. If you miss, you have another try unless you ran out of bullets then you're screwed.

It's true that guns are easier to kill people with, close or far range, but blades are better.

I agree. Once you're out bullets, it just ends badly. So I take sword or katana, plus I think I like the feeling hack and slash (not like i actually know how to fight...sigh). Out of all, I prefer quarter staff as a weapon (can't unintentionally kill anyone I think). 🤣

Sword! It's the coolest weapon. Better than a gun. A six year old girl can use a gun. (Ok, I'm in love with the Glock 26, but still...) A sword... that requires skill. And the samurai sword is the coolest of them all. So beautiful...

I like the normal sized swords, I like the big swords, I like the short swords... I like the broadswords, I like the Claymores. ;-)

I come from a family that has a very, very, very long history of being swordsmiths.
So I'm not allowed to saw guns 🤣
But yeah, aesthetically I prefer swords, seeing as though they can have such interesting craftsmanship.

Swords! way more epic than guns, more dramatic and 'romantic' in their own way...
but guns have their own good sides too, I guess... i don't dislike Train's gun...(that's the only gun that comes in mind sadly...)

I completely depends on the time and place.
In the age of guns, swords just don't cut it.

And gun + (combat) knife will counter the ammo argument better then a sword.

Guns have more use.
Better range, better accuracy and make the
user less vulnerable as you can use them from
shadows and corners, unlike swords that require
close combat. They have a better area for fighting
and can deal with multiple opponents in different places.
Regardless what people might believe, it's not hard to kill
with a gun at point-blank range at all, no matter how much
you see some ninja warrior cut a gunman up with a sickle or some
other inferior weapon. Guns aren't weaker in close combat.
They're harder to dodge and block. Guns run out of ammo, sure,
but you don't go around with just 7 bullet and do not forget that
blades get duller with each failed hit. Swinging a blade tires you out faster,
you need more strenght to deal a fatal wound and you need more room
to use it. Neither needs more skill than the other. The knock back
of a gun is going to smash your wrist or make you miss completely.
Blades might be classy in their own way, but as I
have stated before, there is a reason why people with guns won
the battles against the ones with blades.

I prefer long sleak and sharp swords. I love the slicing action. It my be a short range weapon but it doesn't run out of ammo and it just looks so badass to weild a sword.

Contrary to popular belief guns are used for a reason. so what if they have a limited amount of ammo. they are easy to use, and you can carry a shitload of ammo if necessary. Its not like you would actually need to kill a thousand opponents at a time. Swords require training to use. They also need to be sharpened and can break from overuse or to strong an impact. They also require a lot of physical strenth to use and they dont just go straight through someone with a slight thrust. Ribs are in the way and heads are not that easy to chop of. So unless you have a magic sword then a gun is better.

In real world, blade suck real bad vs gun. Gun might run out of ammo, but blade can break and need to be sharpen. Gun bullet are hard to evade...

Blade and gun aren't the indestructible piece of steel most people think.

In fiction, both. I love gun-kata 😀
