FYI kitsune is just the Japanese word for fox, though they have myths that foxes can turn into women and seduce travelers. As for my favorite I like the phoenix since I was born in the city named after it.

That reminds me of nine-tales the pokemon (obviously referenced to the fox demon thing), but I always remember nine-tales to be rediculously majestic and graceful looking, while vulpix was rediculously cute.

Vampires, dragons and werewolves are my favourites. Maybe mylings too.

i personallly can't stand vampires or werewolves. After watching every season of Buffy the Vampire slayer and Angel when i was younger, as well as both Underworld movies, I'm frankly sick of them, being one must reallly really suck too. Sure if you're a vampire you have amazing superhuman strength and whatnot, but not being able to go out in day, and the horrible addiction to blood must seriously suck. Be like an overly sensitive heroin junkie. Being a werewolf is probably worse since the transformation is painful as crap, and you can't control what you do in werewolf form, might rip out the throat of a loved one by accident.
