Good thing you watched the show before reading it. Other wise you might have hung yourself with a samurai sword committing harakiri while setting your room on fire will a few LPG tanks strapped together... Well you get the idea. You might have seen a few jokes of monsters in the show, and the manga is definitely nothing like that.

the anime has little in common with the manga. And everyone who knows both agrees that the manga is waaaaaay better.

The anime sucked!! I hope your experiences with the manga are much better than with the anime. The only thing good I can say for the anime is that the quality of the art wasn't that bad. Other than that... terrible. I'm sad to say that I bought it. I now deeply regret this...

The anime was created long before the manga was even close to being finished. In fact, I think the battle was Nobunaga was still going on when the anime was in production. Since the people making the anime had no idea where the story was going, they just bs-ed all this stuff with magical creatures and a really lame version of how Kyo and Kyoshiro ended up in the same body. SO stupid.

And, after a while, Yuya seemed to forget about her brother completely, which is absurd. In the manga, this is vital to her character. Although, in the manga, she seems to forget this sometimes, this is only because battles go on for volumes. These battles aren't actually that long in real time, so it makes sense that finding her brother wouldn't be in the forefront of her mind when her life and the lives of the SDK crew are in jeopardy.

I could go on and on about the discrepancies between the manga and the anime but the important this is this: DO NOT associate the Samurai Deeper Kyo ANIME plot with the MANGA plot!!! They're completely different!! They just happen to use the same characters in vaguely similar situations!!

In the anime does kyo win in the end or is it kyoshiro? or do they both become one again?
