Ocarina of Time hands down.
Glados is a bitch. She made me kill the companion cube, the only friend I'll ever have. 😢

probably link's awakening. that game was legendary - espec for being on the gameboy! followed by ocarina of time probably, though majora's mask had much awesomeness - fierce diety all the way!

For some reason I really like the top down Zelda games and not really the 3rd person ones, so for me it is A Link to the Past, really got me into the whole Zelda thing 🙂 /

I've played 'em all because I like them all. I just really like how Majora's Mask is littered with side quests.
BTW, anyone think that nothing did enough damage in Twilight Princess?

maybe it was an attempt at upping the difficulty for the more experienced?

Upping? You clearly misunderstand. My complaint was that everything was easy to kill because it didn't do enough damage. In Ocarina of Time, Ganon can take 6 hearts with a single blow. In twilight princess, he couldn't do even 2 hearts.

twilight princess does seem too easy(im half way through right now)
but Majora's mask wins best by far. always thought OoT got way too much pomp, it was good but not as good as the hype

Nostalgia alone might have made me pick LttP but Twilight Princess is my vote. I actually enjoyed the story and I really did like the Wii controls. I look back on Ocarina of Time and think of it as a fun game but I would never want to play it again. I can't say the same about LttP and TP.
I honestly think Wind Waker is the best. The story was SO crazy, alot deeper than any other Zelda game.
I mean, you dive to the bottom of the sea in order to explore the lost kingdom of hyrule, the pirate turns out to be the princess. Getting the sword releases Ganondorf. Plot twists everywhere!!
The game play was fantastic, the music was legendary. The graphics quite frankly sucked, which is why it deterred alot of moderate fans of the series.
But the first time I hit the open seas is when I first fell in love with the game.
Don't get me wrong, I loved Ocarina of Time, and Twilight Princess was phenomenal itself. But twilight princess got most of its gameplay elements from Wind Waker. (Ie Dodge Roll, Great Spin [loved the quick draw!]) Yeah, Twilight Princess took Ocarina of Time and made it better. Wind Waker added a whole new feel to the Genre, in which I adore

Finally a guy who can look past Wind Waker's graphics and see its true greatness. Still second on my list, though.
