isekai about a princess who became a slave At the very start of the first chapter. She was previously a medical student or doctor in modern times. She was almost killed by the male protagonist but another princess was killed instead. After that, She became a slave , cut her hair short (making her less recognisable). She was given as a slave to a different family, but due to her medical background she gets noticed by quite a lot of people, heals the ml’s horse, and eventually became a sort of retainer for the male lead (who I think is the first in line to the throne) He eventually discovers that she is the princess from the recently invaded country.

Sounds like a Beatrice to me especially for the last part: slave, becomes retainer, heal the ML's horse, ex princess. But it's not an isekai, just time travel.

I vaguely remember the past self as a meds student, so yeah I'm not sure.
