I've been liking gender bender too as long as I know, and...really, I also watched the drama Hana Kimi (taiwanese one) long ago when I was small, and read all gender bender manga there is to read.

Then I started to come across some shounen ai, and I'm alright with it. I read Totally Captivated and was amazingly captivated by it. Since then I've been reading some light yaoi (don't really like too much sex scenes) and many shounen ai (I am open with this). Anyway, what really flickered me has always been the uke, many of them are so cute. When I get sick of shoujo protagonists, that's when I need my BL dose.

Well, back in 2004, when I was 12 years old, I went to a RL internet meeting with the girls of a pixel art forum I was part of. We started fangirling about Saint Seiya and I innocently said "too bad that Shun isn't a girl. If he were, he would make a nice couple with Hyoga". One of the girls of the meeting said "Why he has to be a girl? He can be with Hyoga even if he is a guy". It was so, so simple, but it suddenly made sense. I thought "yeah, what's wrong with that? All that matter is that they love each other" and everything became pink and happy...

I talked (ahh, MSN!) to the same girl later and found out fanfiction existed. Then, I lurked around Fanfiction.net's Saint Seiya fanfics and authors. Eventually, I became friends with several authors and started doing Saint Seiya yaoi roleplaying. In the following year or so, through my new roleplaying pals, I found out about yaoi manga, anime and doujinshi. I found some Zaou Taishi's Gundam SEED doujinshi and it was love at first sight.

Then, in 2006, I registered in Aarinfantasy. Before, I had my friends to chose and download things for me, because I was too scared to register in a English-language forum. Well, I still am. I rarely post things (but now I'm more shameless as well, hence this poorly written post). One of the first non-Zaou Taishi yaoi manga I read back in that time was Tori Maia's Hoshi no Yakata. lol Not sure why or how I decided to read more yaoi after reading it.

Well, but I kept reading and here I am. Almost 10 years after finding out yaoi and I turned out just fine (not really). bigrazz
