12+ hours (It’s too bad all of this time didn’t yield any satisfactory results >_>)

How you think this best represents manga updates:
She’s an android, so this would represent the fact that Manga Updates is a website (technology and such). And being of a technological nature, she is able to access the internet and store up her own personal database (of manga). Thus, similar to Manga Updates itself, she is, in a sense, a library of manga and all information related to such. She is highly influenced by manga and her personality (and sometimes attire) can range widely depending on the manga she is reading. This represents the diversity of manga itself, as well as its readers. And, lastly, she's got the site's color scheme.

That headband thing actually leads to these ear things, and those are capable of activating the visor that she uses as a screen when she surfs the internet and such.

How much effort put into the artwork: About 10 hours...alot of rough drafts and editing. Went through about 5 hats. Pulled an all nighter coloring it. All done in Adobe photoshop CS3 with my lap tops TOUCH PAD!!! Mouse is lost and tablet is broken lol...coloring Took a whilllle.

How you think this best represents manga updates: I think he's just cool. He has a sort of Gokudera/Lupin look that i'm sorta prowd of. His style is just very Calm yet thretening...You don't wanna se him smile either...

so the details of the character is as such:

Art/Character Name: Mi. as in 'seed' (in japanese). Mi is actually, err... cow sperm but. err... so it's a seed!

How much effort put into the artwork: i don't really remember, it took me sometimes to draw something simple, easy and cute at the same time. but i did put a lot of effort in naming it.

How you think this best represents manga updates:ettoo...

first: i have no idea who started it but Mu really sounds like cows so.. yeah the theme of cow is there.

second: rather then a real cow, i opted for the sperm instead. why? because sperm represent the 'seed'; the beginning of everything. besides, seed also represents the tiny little things that together make up for something big, like MU who depends a lot on the scanlators as their seed. besides, in my opinion, a little round cow is cuter, don't you think?

third: the natural expression of Mi is somewhat awed. this explains the "o" shape mouth. it is because, Mi found something new at Manga updates - EVERY SINGLE DAY!

BONUS! - Mi is super easy to draw, and you can easily change its expression anyway you like!

I think Muu-chan best represents Manga Updates because, Manga Updates is a place where u can find excitement and a brief escape from reality. Muu-chan introduces you to this world of manga and is eager to let you know what manga is new, and which mangas are hot.

Initially i wanted to draw a cow character reading manga, but it didn't look anime lol. I decided to do a mix of cow and a person, kinda like a furry character. This took longer than i had planned but im just happy its done, now i can got to sleep.Go Muu-Chan!!

Art/Character Name: The twins

How much effort put into the artwork: I put tons of effort into it. I drew a couple of sketches until I was finally happy with how the characters looked. After that I inked it and scanned it into my computer, After that I cleaned up to image and colored it using many layers. It took a very long time because I didn't change the size after it was scanned. I also colored some of the lines one of many things I tried for the first time. All the things around the characters I added in photoshop I was going to add more but I felt like I was getting carried away.

How you think this best represents manga updates: Since this is an information site I wanted the mascot to be a character who would knows everything there is to know about manga. The twins are suppose to know just about everything what one twin doesn't know the other does that is how the are suppose to be. I decided on the twins because I wanted to represent MU as well as the readers. So why not have manga fans be the maschot?

Artist comments: So why did I draw them in lazy clothes? I think that crazy manga fans wouldn't get dressed just to read manga all day long. I was going to draw soda cans,bags of chips, candy wrappers, and giant stacks of manga around them but as I colored it the idea started to disappear. I also think there is too much going on in the picture for me to add them now. Maybe if I get the chibi version done before this contest is over I will.

Lol, maybe we should have set the date sooner...I mean, look at all the entries coming in at the last minute....so many procrastinators 🤣

Mu Myu has a masive fur with lots of manga, this represents the masive MU's database.
Mu Myu has severe personalitty easues....this represents....the variety of genders in MU's database.
He is crazy and might go in a killing rampage....
