Hello Awesome People of MangaUpdates,

I was wondering if there is a way to create a more "search-like" auto-fill text box when users are editing Categories. As I feel I am not explaining myself well, hopefully a link to the page with the box I am referring to would be a better way to indicate which category box I am talking about. Anyway, when entering a category into an entry in the database, the dropdown menu acts like an autocomplete function. However, I feel that it would be easier to enter categories if the dropdown menu acted more like a search box because word order and spelling are so important that tags with the same meaning but different spelling are overlooked or underutilized. Plus, it makes the tagging entry process more time consuming and somewhat frustrating.

Is there a way to add that "search-like" function to the category entry text box?

Just something I thought might increase the number of tags being used and something that bugged me when I was trying to add categories.

I was also going to suggest this. If I type "lov", I would like to see categories like "loving family", "love at first sight", "enemies to lovers" show as possible matches. Typing "com" should match "comedic undertones", "animal communication", and mid-string matches like "uncommon services/store" and "friends become lovers".

Sub-string matching could help prevent having 2 of the same category, e.g. As of now, there's "female lead is princess" and "princess female lead".
