What was the first BL or vice versa thing you ever read? And how actual stuff like that IRL?

I remember being in Grade 3 or 4 (one or the other) and my cousin sitting me down and making me watch the movie "But I'm a Cheerleader".

Being the innocent girl I was (and still am! Kind of...) I was a bit confused by the girl/girl action in that movie. My first reaction was "wtf?" and I got curious about it all.

Then a while later I was on the computer and stumbled upon some of my brother's hidden pornography. I guess curiousity killed the cat, and I opened one of the file videos. It came with a nice gift of two girls... Well, yea. I'm not going to go into detail (sorry xombie)

My first thought was if it was necessary being so loud as they were being and if they wouldn't bug anyone else in the house that way.

Then I thought as to WHY in the world two girls were doing that kind of stuff.

After 10 minutes where the clip just cut off, I wanted to see a continuation. So I looked through more and found more... One folder was filled with girl/girl videos and I started looking there for the sequel to the video. All I got were Asian girls doing... Yea.

One clip contained my first taste of animated hentai, which is where I got more curious. It was really the pretty drawings and colours that got me.

Well, eventually I ran out of videos to watch, to my dissapointment seeing as I had still not found my sequel. As if on cue, my 2 brothers walked into the room when I got the brilliant idea to ask them for the sequel to that one video in the "Aww-sum shait" folder.
When I showed them the video, they went on to beat me up (literally).

No answer from them, I went on to ask the interwebz for my sequel. NeoPets had no answer for me, and my acount got frozen for some reason.

In another board though, I was recommended to watch Bible Black. After following some instructions on how to download, I dld the first few episodes.

Curious, I asked for more reccomendations. I'm 100% serious when I say I didn't know this stuff was "bad". XD I just thought the guys were hurting the girls.

Eventually I found out what this stuff really was, and my brother brainwashed me into thinking that yaoi and BL was bad for my health. So I stuck to yuri.

At one point in life I thought I was lesbian, but I realized what growing up around a biased male mind had done to me. So I checked out BL for the sake of it. I almost gouged my eyes out. I was probably being biased due to me liking yuri, but still...

At this point in life, I still hate yaoi. Not HATE IT irl, but I'm talking manga/anime here, NOT necessarily hentai. I've read a few BL stories, but majority have been light shounen-so with a girlish male so I can pretend he's a girl and it's not that bad on me. Me = stupid.

Yuri also sucks, but IMHO, yuri > yaoi. Again, me being biased. Heh.

Sad thing is I never found my sequel. =[

Now that was completely unnecessary, wasn't it? All true though.

I typed that all on my iPod touch at 4am in the morning. Sheesus. I have no life.

How about you guys? Yaoi or yuri? And share your frst experiences with these two genres too! ^__^
