So I heard all these great reviews about this game (I still haven't played any version of it)
I was thinking of starting with Kingdom Hearts on PS2

But...
No matter how hard I try I keep getting this feeling that it's gonna be cheesy; I mean Sephiroth and Goofy in one game? It hurts me just thinking it about it

So, keeping in mind that I've played and enjoyed FFVII, FVIII, FFIX, FFX and FFXII. I especially enjoyed the stories of these.
Should I give Kingdom of Hearts a try? Or is it not for everyone?

Why not, game is entertaining.

I think you shoud give a try, the jogability is great and is a fun game to play.
You don't lose anything for trying, on the contrary.
Most people I know that likes FF and play this game love it.

I think that it's a good game, maybe not quite as good as they say, but good nonetheless. The disney characters don't add anything to the story, and Donald & Goofy are REALLY ANNOYING, but I liked the Kingdom Hearts game series. Also, the game is really easy to play, and also really fun. I think you should try it, and if you don't like it, then you don't. 🙂

Look, ignore the fact that most of the characters come from Walt Dysney franchise. The real starring one, Sora, the enemies aka Heartless and the villains are original from the game.

The game has an addicting story, and if you like games like Legend of Zelda OoT and such, you'll love this one. The thing is all those FF is that they are -turn based- (except maybe FFXII, kinda) while KH is action-rpg.

I'll just tell you, if you're in for the story, you'll love it. Nuff said.

I think you should definitely give it a try; when the first Kingdom Hearts come out some years ago I felt the same way u did, Disney and Final Fantasy characters in one game, I thought it was a stupid idea until I let my curiosity get the best of me a gave it a try and now I a huge Kingdom Hearts fans. The game definitely did not disappoint and it just keeps getting better, so yea give it try, go from the first game on down and see where it leads.

I'm a kingdom hearts game fan i played 1-2 on ps2 and they were really good.at first i thought it was stupid having final fantasy characters and disney characters together in a game.but when i played it seemed to work really well.at one point you even encounter sephiroth to fight against (who by the way is impossible to beat) he's not a boss are anything i only saw him in game 1 though.i do think playing ps2 versions first would be better start.it's a fun game with a good story.giving it a try won't hurt. 🙂

Personally, I love Kingdom Hearts and thought it was awesome Disney, Final Fantasy, and all the Kingdom Hearts original characters were in one series.

Of course I can always try it, but I don't wanna lose 100 hours of my life and be like "meh!" in the end 🙂
Even though FFXII took me 140 hours, in the end I was totally satisfied

Which reminds me; how much does it take to finish Kingdom Hearts anyways? on average...

In the end, I think I will give it a try

I agree with you. Kingdom of Hearts is simply not for everyone, you have to LOVE Disney in order to like it. I don't like Disney and I thought it was the most cheesiest (and worthless) game ever made!
