So is kuchiki byakuya dead or not? Knowing Kubo's personality he might be alive. I mean he showed one of the captains hand/body getting cut and then in next whole chapter he took time to explain that it was a clone.
I guess it have become the common habit of all mangaka's where they show a cliffhanger that a person is dying and then in next chapter they try to say it was an image/clone/hallunication or whatever. I can name many manga where they leave such cliff-hangers in order to rise interest.
I am sure fans will further be disappointed if he lives.....So kubo let him die and dont waste the next chapter on some weird explainations.** (1 chapter->contacting captains +1 chapter->making connection+1 chapter->informing them+1 chapter->their reaction).**It took 4 chapters to inform Ichigo about Soul Society and their further reaction.

He is not dead, if you've read Bleach you know he is not dead. Next chapter the bad guy is dead actually, I can bet my right arm on that.

if kubo gonna draw a fight he should show the beginning to the end. kuchiki byakuya almost dead and havent even seen the enemy attack. Its nice that he cares about Rukia, but shes not the reason he can overcome fear hes been fighting way before he met her or her dead sister so the implications are pointless

so, my thoughts on Bleach 501:

~ ha, Byakuya is so adorable: 1st that look at Renji & then - "well...i don't think you are intelligent enough to be able to lure all his powers out.." so cute!!!!!!!

~ "Fear? How foolish. There are no fights without fear."

~ zombie Rukia, bwahahahhahahahaha

~ enemies, in this case - quincies or what not -, are so damn boring with their mighty talk, bleh

~ but of course Rukia would feel Byakuya's um demise? she's psychic no? duh, that was uncalled for

~ and of course there would be some sh*tty phrase like "...farewell" with damn awe breathtaking scene at the very end

god, that's so cliché, that whole - Rukia feels that Byakuya's dying thing & he's shown struck down with the enemy watching over THE END OF THE CHAPTER

aaagh, & here i thought it would be a nice chapter - finally

oh well, at least the Byakuya-Renji-intelligence scene was worth it ^^ p.s. how could i have forgotten zombie Rukia!!!? that was brilliant, ha, gotta mention THAT one!!!

and as for Byakuya dying? whatever; i don't really care anymore & if he actually does die, which would be kind of annoying & surprising(considering how everyone miraculously survives and stuff), big deal - 99% of my fav characters DIE so yeah, you had that one coming Byakuya, sorry

oh and as for the chapter boooooooring. felt absolutely nothing, I was like next, next, next, next oh it's over...... bleh 🤢 , i'm reading this only to find out about Kenpachi/Vaizards if they turn useless I seriously think I might drop this, also for some reason the way the shinigamis are getting slaughtered by these guys kinda reminded me of Gantz for some reason whatever
