Finally the misunderstanding Harima had about Eri's character is cleared, dunno if this will get them together, but surely they will be closer than before.

At the top of the first page you see the words "The closing chapters" that's really sad...... but I hope it will end really well.

I was hoping a genuine confession would come out of her at some point during that outburst, but oh well. We'll see what happens.

I wonder just how many more chapters are left, though. Still need some closure with Yakumo. Not to mention Mikoto and Hanai (and Takano?), and Ichijou and Imadori...

I hope it ends well.

mmm...it may just be me, but I think this actually decreases the chance for a Harima x Eri ending, which disappoints me greatly. It might still happen, but it seemed sort of like this was intended to end that portion of the story, rather than push forwards towards a positive conclusion. Ah well...

It does seem that it was only bringing an end to that portion of the story, doesn't it?

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about them. So many characters, it might be hard to have a satisfying conclusion for all, but I do really hope Kido gets her comeuppance before it's all said and done.

Yeah I sort of got that feeling too, that's why I wanted an outright confession there, but it isn't over yet I reckon. Just gotta wait and see.

After re-reading the 2 chapters (271-272) I still get the impression that they still may use Eri for a possible ending. They have made the possibility between the 3 girls. The hardest part would be for Harima to give up Tenma to fall for someone else. I just see this desire for Eri to want to be with Harima through out the manga. (I personally hope they end up together)

I wounder how many chapters a left. And are they going to tie up the knots with all the character or are they just going to leave it open for no one to really knows who ends up with who.

(Part of me thinks that they could do a flash forward to show there status in relationships when they are older, but I doubt that will happen)

With that phrase, I don't even think if Tenma came back a widow things could be any different.

It's unlikely... but I just thought of it for some reason. It'd suck if Harima ends up with no one. Like he goes on to live a life of solitude surrounded by the animals or something, once in a while thinking about the romance(?) he had with Tenma.

Anyway, I agree with the above poster this chapter likely means that "love comedy" between Eri and Harima is finished. I can see them developing romance while bickering - love/hate relationship. But, it'd be too strange for them at this point to reach an understanding, become calm and lovey dovey, and starting going out. Or is that just my bias speaking. Haha.

Next girl in line for Harima, step up please!

Actually, they wrapped up Yakumo's story in the final b chapter of the series (b62), a few weeks ago, bringing everything full circle. It hasn't been translated yet, though.

Everyone else's situations are still pending. This week looks like some sort of climax between Tenma and Karasuma.

Ah cool, well at least we know she (Yakumo) won't be left hanging, story-wise. After so long, I think everything is feeling a little rushed to an end to me though. I hope her part in all at least ended well with that chapter.

As for Tenma and Karasuma... I think their coupling was about the least interesting part of the entire story to me so, meh whatever happens there I don't care too much.

I hate to say this but... I think it is possible that tsukamoto tenma will fall in love with harima kenji while she is in U.S. with karasuma because she will be always be reminded how harima kenji helped her and supports her... maybe it is possible that she will fall in love with him... and it seems that I can see her reactions during the time she was in the airport.. I think while tenma is in U.S. and harima in Japan might fall in love again with either eri or yakumo... then by the time both karasuma and tenma comes back, harima doesnt have any feelings anymore for tenma because he is already taken by someone... omg! this is a square of love! thier love for each other will be complicated! It is unknown yet, it depends on the author to choose who will harima be with in the end! maybe the manga will have many more volumes to go! I hope the author makes a better and a good manga! way to go! haha... this is getting exciting! I can't wait!

but I think... it is possible that the author is trying to make us all think that School Rumble is ending... in order to catch our attention to the story.. and I think Harima will talk with Eri at her door and ask her if he and her can start again and develop love within each other.. 🙂 I think I remembered that the author made a chapter about Yakumo with her friends and there were dolls that are similar to harima as a king and the three girls Eri,Tenma and Yakumo as princesses I think.. And that means that the story of Harima liking Tenma is over or the end.. and the story between Harima and Eri or Yakumo is about to begin... and oh yeah, Remember? in chapter 272, Harima said that Eri was a good girl in the end, so maybe it is possible that Harima might want to move on and start a relationship with Eri.. 🤣 AND Harima thought to himself and said why does this girl(Eri) always shows up in a situation like this? maybe, it was meant for them to be together! 🙂

^^Well, the only problem I see in your theory is that Karasuma won't be coming back. It's already been made clear that he is dying, and if you look at ch. 273, it looks like his condition is worse than we anticipated. If all that other stuff happens, it'll be with Karasuma out of the picture.
