Are russians overreacting, or they have the right idea in here?

Personally, I go with option B, it may be an overreaction, but we have to address this problem and the soonest we do it, the better... then again Nasa said it was a 2% chance of a hit, just to change it to one in a million chance (0.000001%) when the topic became popular... could this be Panic control bullshit? or they truly worked hard to accurately predict the orbit?

I don't think we'll face such rocks.
And if we do, well, then we just do.
There should be more menace from
the outer space so we could work as one.

Hey working as one sounds good... but having a planet size rock coming our way and not having anything to save us, is truly depressing...

So, yeah I would like this thread to be addressed, but not for the impending danger, but because is the logical thing to do.

Apophis is not a big meteor, is only a couple of hundred meters of doom, so we can try to do something about it, but telescopes have seen stars crashing into each other, galaxy's doing the same, and planets crashing into each other, are not unheard of.

That is why humanity should really work to get our ass out of earth, just in case some shit happens... I mean, our theories behind supernovas collapse and explosions where proven wrong recently (we are overlooking an X factor in the equation), so that means there is still MUCH to learn in the world of physics.

and I am going off topic...

In the sims your sim can die through "Death by Meteor"

My friend spent 5 hours working on one of her sims, but didn't save.
He finally had like 3 kids and was at the top of his job...
One day, he had a little time before work... so my friend made him watch the clouds.
Before the carpool came a meteor came and killed him.

True story. I laughed for an hour after she told me.

Lesson Learned? ALWAYS SAVE 🤣

Sorry. On topic: I don't care. It is an option I mean that's how the dinosaurs died, but meh. I'll leave it to the scientists to figure out. Better safe then sorry no? 😀

Option 2. It might happen. I'm not worried. When the time comes, what will happen will happen.
