I had a conversation a while ago and the subject about who the best performers were came up. Though we argued a lot about genres, the virtues of acoustic versions and classical back ups we pretty much agreed that one requirement was that they had to be great live. That's when I realized how little I actually listen to live concerts. With that in mind, I was wondering what people consider great live performances here. Below are a few that came to my mind.

Live(band): Dolphin's cry

Madonna (ft. Babyface): Take a Bow

Kiss: ROCK AND ROLL ALL NIGHT

2012 Grammy's "Rolling in the Deep" / Adele - the come-back queen.

2009 Good Evening New York City "Live and Let Die" / Paul McCartney -- wow... he's doing this at 60+... and just to add:
"Blackbird" / Paul McCartney

Oprah's 25th season "Born This Way / You & I" / Lady Gaga -- hate all you want, but she's got a voice. And she can bang those black and whites! Plus, her shock factor just adds to the performance (but she's tame here).

2011 Madrid (Amex Unstaged) "Hurts like Heaven" (dressing room warm up) / Coldplay -- I saw them live back in 2009, and I seriously didn't expect them to sound good live. It turned out that I actually prefer listening to them live compared to their studio recordings. You can search for various videos online. I can add concert videos later...

360 tour "Where the Streets Have No Name" / U2 -- *sobs. I couldn't score tickets to their tour... sold out in mere minutes. I only heard good things about them live.

Ooookay... youtube is angry with me at the moment, so I can't add more links... But I suggest looking up the following youtube channels:

lollapalooza

Cool selection. Missed the 2012 Grammy Awards so Adele was a pleasant surprise. Never watched Oprah either so the Lady Gaga performance was a treat too. Thanks for the suggestions.

Never heard of the ACL Festival so it's been interesting looking through it. Funny though, I thought lollapalooza died after '97. I really am behind the times. 🤢
