Hello, all. In the first 90's in Italy I'm pretty sure there was this anime/cartoon (I believe anime, but since I was a kid I can't be sure... I'm slowly starting to think it could have been an Italian cartoon since I can't find it on anidb or ann) set in the Wars of the Roses period (the Wars of the Roses between Lancaster and York). I thought it was called "La freccia nera" (Italians for "The Black Arrow"), but apparently that's not the case, because there are no records of it on the web. Beside the fact that I didn't dream it because there are actually topics in Italian of people asking for it with no useful answers, I don't have any other info to provide. Maybe someone else (especially European people) remembers something or can give me any some info. Thanks in advance!

Thanks, but no. I'm starting to think that I could have confused it with Robin Hood (this one) since they both are set in UK in a forest and the main char use a bow. It's just that I remember this war between two clans and the main char trying to avenge his father (like in The Black Arrow book by Stevenson, which is set during War of the Roses years), but I was a kid so I could be mistaken. It's just that I found some topic mentioning it in Italian and I found strange other people would make my same mistake.
Anyway, thanks. If somebody else want to give a shot, feel free to throw ideas. 😀

Edit: it was probably Robin Hood. I just discovered in Wikipedia that Lady Marian last name was Lancaster and she was a descendant of that family. Maybe I just watched an episode with a plot similar to the one in The Black Arrow and I have believed the entire series to be set on War of the Roses due to that. 😕

Well, if it helps I tried to find some tv shows from when I was a kid and managed to find them by searching for a list of programmes that were on the channel I frequently watched as a kid.
