Looking for a historical BL manhwa (but any other would also work) where ML is trash in the beginning but starts regretting. The retribution arc should be at least satisfying.

This goes under the category of "but any other would also work": Mushoku Tensei - Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu

It is a great "trash MC becomes better" story, however:

It's not BL, and the retribution is there but in ways that aren't immediately apparent, but his redemption arc(s) is(are) satisfying and the story is well written, with the author willing to not let everything turn out well just because.

I'm a jack of all trades but master of none. Too many jars and not enough hands.
